(PFI) has an opening for a Financial Reporting Specialist. The group is primarily responsible for the analyzing, reporting, and communicating of actual and forecasted derivatives results of PFI to senior management, Prudential businesses, and external financial filings under Statutory accounting standards. The group is also responsible for preparing the debt footnote included in PFI’s external financial filings under applicable accounting standards, as well as the accounting and reporting of Treasury stock for PFI. The derivative instruments encompass interest rate swaps, cross currency swaps, forwards, futures, options in the context of General Account investments, PFI’s foreign currency hedging as well as structured transactions.The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.What to expect:
Treasury StockRecord treasury stock transactions (share repurchases & stock option exercises)Record other entries impacting treasury stock (i.e., month-end accruals, restricted stock releases, deferred compensation, PSPP program, etc.)Prepare the monthly treasury stock reconciliationEnterprise Debt ReportingPrepare quarterly/annually the debt footnote and other debt related disclosures included in the company’s Management, Discussion and AnalysisConsolidate market value reporting for debtCompile and analyze consolidated interest expense for the enterprisePrepare the company’s quarterly and annual debt footnotes and related XBRL filingDerivative ReportingPrepare quarterly statutory basis derivative results and analysis exhibits for Senior ManagementPrepare derivative footnote for Statutory Blue BooksAssist in preparing regulatory filings for derivativesPartner with internal and external auditors, investment operations, Corporate Statutory controllers, and the SEC Reporting groupSupport periodic statutory accounting basis forecasting of Derivative results for all relevant legal entitiesAdditional ResponsibilitiesDesign, automate, and maintain various spreadsheets used to compile and analyze data Support new department initiatives and ad hoc projectsOvertime required during peak period
What you'll need:Undergraduate degree, preferably in Accounting or FinanceProficient in Excel, Power Point, Power BI and WordStrong sense of team workStrong interpersonal, communication and partnering skillsSelf-motivated and proactive with ability to work independently and as part of a team
It'd be a plus if you had:Advanced degree and certifications (e.g. CPA) a plusFamiliarity with Workiva, Oracle, Clarity/XBRL a plus

What we offer you:Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $72,900.00 to $108,600.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level.
