The Prudential International Insurance (PII) Department has an opening for a Financial Reporting Specialist position within the Controllership team and seeking a self-motivated individual with strong financial analysis and interpersonal skills to join the team. PII currently supports Prudential’s insurance operations in 10 countries outside of the US (Japan, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Indonesia, India, China, South Africa, Ghana, Kenya), which account for roughly half of Prudential’s adjusted operating income.

You will have a unique opportunity to develop knowledge of PII’s internal and external reporting and be focused on International’s wide range of transactions and development of internal board meeting materials as well as building an understanding of how International’s information is disclosed externally through SEC Reporting. There will be frequent opportunities to collaborate within the Prudential International Insurance Finance Group, the Treasury Department, and the broader Prudential community.

The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site. 

What you can expect:  

Support the preparation of various Corporate SEC filings including the management discussion and analysis (MD&A) and Business section in 10Q/10k Form, Quarterly Financial Supplemental (QFS), MDAQ and provide various financial disclosures for SEC Filings. Support reporting of U.S. GAAP financials results, preparation of other management and external reporting requirements such as the capital transaction deck and PIIH Financial Statements. Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) related work to maintain effective internal control environment over PII Financial Reporting Process. Serve as a liaison with Financial Accounting Control Team (FACT), PWC, Internal Audit and Risk Management for internal control related matters including tracking issues and control deficiencies.

What you’ll need:  

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting or related field.Minimum 3+ years of related experience (including International experience or in a financial reporting capacity). Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Financial Reporting Control Environment.Strong technical, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.Experience in collaborating with a diverse cross-functional team.Ability to communicate complex topics into easy-to-understand messages that enhances communication to management.Ability to work through issues independently and as part of a team.Experience with creating quality PowerPoint presentations and messaging to senior management.Proficient use of MS Office suite.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $71,100.00 to $105,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
