What You Will Do:
As a Consultant at Guidehouse, you will provide management consulting services across our Financial Services sector. Specifically, you will help develop and support workstreams across existing and new clients, providing advice, optimizing operations, solving complex problems, coordinating the management and completion of transformation programs and change management initiatives. Specific responsibilities include:
Create detailed project plans, define project scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, and timelines
Identify project resources, hire, and manage team members to ensure projects are on track and meeting agreed-upon timelines
Manage client and stakeholder relationships to clearly articulate project progress, changes, and issues through the project life cycle
Assist clients to identify and mitigate potential risks that may impact the project timeline, scope, budget or quality
Ensure the project meets high-quality standards and deliverables meet design specifications
Problem-solving: Identify and resolve and project issues that may rise, including technical, logistical, or resource-based constraints
Identify ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness of financial business processes
Drive change management and continuous improvement
Provide direction to multiple project teams across Commercial Financial Services clients
Apply industry research and provide clear and concise guidance to Commercial Financial Services clients
Present at key leadership meetings by preparing and presenting briefing materials, participating in discussion, documenting major decisions, and capturing and tracking action items
Support ad hoc requests such as researching topical industry issues, developing and reviewing position papers, providing integration support, etc.
Daily responsibility for project team activities, high-quality project deliverables, and client relationship management
Provide coaching and feedback to junior team members
Convey ideas clearly in an oral and written manner, both one-on-one and in small groups
Support clients in collecting and analyzing data, producing models and visualizations, and draw conclusions from the data to improve decision-making
Analyze and help develop and/or improve policies and procedures for a variety of programs and operational needs
Lead internal and external Guidehouse programs and initiatives
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s Degree
A minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience with providing consulting services, or relevant financial services, to Financial Institutions or Fortune 500 companies
Ability to lead full project execution, including in a client-facing role, with a strong commitment to quality and standardization
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel
Significant attention to detail
Demonstrated knowledge of business development practices and interest in growing a business
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Relevant certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Controls Auditor (CICA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and/or a change management certification such as Prosci
Expertise and background in structured finance, securitization, mergers and acquisitions and/or transaction management
Experience working with financial services providers and asset managers
Ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance
The annual salary range for this position is $71,800.00-$107,600.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
