Financial Services Associate Director | Risk & Compliance

What You Will Do:
Guidehouse has an aggressive growth strategy for its Financial Crimes, Risk, and Compliance (FCRC) practice, and now seeks to expand its leadership team by recruiting a strong business-building Associate Director who will be fundamental to this growth strategy. This new hire will be a senior business builder with a high-profile personal network with consumer protection, risk management, and / or regulatory compliance expertise. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Develop and lead relationships with current and prospective clients as well as internal leadership, establishing credibility with senior Guidehouse colleagues to be recognized as a market leader.

Spearhead the development and execution of key go-to-market strategies for Risk and Compliance including new client development and existing client expansion with personal pursuit.

Lead efforts in identifying and retaining new client relationships through business development and existing or new industry connections, including proposal development.

Lead enterprise risk management program, risk assessment, controls design, implementation, assessment, and testing, third party risk management, compliance program, regulatory change management, compliance testing, and / or regulatory inquiry and response projects, particularly in the areas of consumer and small business banking, commercial banking, asset and wealth management, corporate and investment banking, financial technology / digital assets, and insurance.

Lead the execution of risk assessments, target state design, functional and technical transformation, and regulatory response management to support our clients in their modernization and / or regulatory remediation journeys.

Lead the development and product of reports, presentations, analyses, and memorandums summarizing observations, trends, and / or recommendations and present to client.

Anticipate and resolve client concerns quickly.

Manage executive level relationships and ensure that there are the optimal range of risk and compliance solutions to meet client needs as well as to maximize revenue generation and profitability of the firm.

Work with other leaders to contribute to the development of intellectual property and thought leadership.

Develop collaborative relationships with the other related specialty practices and non-specialty practices across the firm to cross-sell relevant products and services.

Play a vital role in managing and developing team members in the Financial Services practice, as well as recruit new team members as part of our strategic initiative to aggressively grow the business.

What You Will Need:

Bachelor's degree.

7+ years of risk and compliance experience at national and regional financial institutions, crypto/digital assets exchanges, securities / capital markets institutions, regulatory / government agencies, and / or consulting or audit firms.

Deep understanding of consumer financial industry (Mortgage, Auto, Student, Credit Card, and / or Unsecured Lending, etc.).

Deep knowledge of consumer finance / protection laws and regulations as well as enforcement actions.

Experience performing risk assessment, controls design, implementation, assessment, and testing, third party risk management, compliance program, regulatory change management, compliance testing, and / or regulatory inquiry and response projects.

Outstanding project management skills to include motivating team, training, developing and supervising team, and invoicing.

Outstanding communication and public speaking skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and SharePoint

Highly motivated, driven, and dynamic attitude towards work and career.

Willingness to travel whenever needed based on client and project needs.

High-energy, positive, persuasive, and aptitude to lead by example.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

Master's degree.

Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Intellectually adept with negotiation and influencing skills and ability to relate to range of senior level internal and external stakeholders.

Elevated level of business acumen and commercial awareness.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other related Guidehouse practices to cross-sell relevant products and services.

Extremely driven, energetic, and able to thrive in a results-oriented, entrepreneurial, and analytical environment.

The annual salary range for this position is $149,000.00-$248,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
