Summary You will serve as a GG-0501-12 FINANCIAL SPECIALIST in SUFFOLK, VA for the NAVAL INFORMATION FORCES. Responsibilities You will review and evaluate Financial Reports generated by Financial Systems. You will provide and implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets. You will develop, determine and interpret budgetary policies and practices as it relates to Financial Systems and processes. You will present and defend changes to financial system structures and system interfaces as it pertains to financial execution. You will review and evaluate Financial execution and phasing plans. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS/GG-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector such as: 1) Experience in applying knowledge of budget execution concepts, principles and practices. 2) Examining, verifying, validating and reconciling fiscal accounts using financial systems. 3) Developing/using spreadsheets, pivot tables and data analytic skills. 4) Reviewing complex and unusual funding documents to verify data and accounting accuracy. 5) Analyzing transactional data for identifying trends and developing recommendations for improved financial controls or budgetary practices.
