Summary You will serve as a GG-12 Financial Management Analyst performing budget administration and execution duties in support of Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVO) in executing annual appropriations. You will develop, determine, and interpret fiscal policies and practices. This position is located within the Resources and Budget Department of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS, Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. Responsibilities You will perform and advise the senior Comptroller leadership on work in all phases or systems of budget administration. You will be responsible for formulation of budget and estimates to support the plans, programs and activities. You will present and defend budget estimates before management. You will review and evaluate budget requirements for the organization. You will perform a variety of analytical, technical, and administrative work for substantive programs and support activities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Review budgetary and financial documentation for accuracy and recommend corrective action when needed; Prepare financial reports, analyze financial data, and track funds using financial management systems to accurately report data calls in a timely manner; Formulate, present, and defend budget estimates to support organizational plans, programs, and activities; Implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budget to ensure organizational compliance with financial standards.
