Financial Systems Administrator II

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the administration, maintenance and processing of assigned accounting/finance systems that generate accounting transactions, financial reports, and financial statements.

 

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinates the administration, ongoing maintenance, and processing of assigned system, including: assists users in defining requirements and ensures system integration; coordinates timely submission of data with various departments; updates database tables and key control files; sets system parameters according to established procedures; reviews system output for accuracy; participates in system processing changes; develops and maintains system procedures and documentation; serves as "on call" contact for problem  resolution. Coordinates activities with IT department, including: scheduling, troubleshooting, and system balancing. Responds to user inquiries regarding system usage and problems. Develops user training materials and conducts training sessions. Creates and distributes financial adhoc reports.Analyzes system output to determine viability of process and detect and resolve errors/discrepancies; notifies appropriate personnel. Identifies opportunities/solutions to enhance system efficiency and accuracy and makes recommendations to management. Performs testing and troubleshooting issues for Oracle ERP General Ledger, as well as Oracle EPM (ie EPBCS, FCCS and ARCS). Knowledgeable on Oracle OTBI and SmartView reporting. Assist with accounting system integrations, upgrades and transitions; provides requirements, assists in testing and the coordination of implementing the changes.Performs validation and reconciliation of reports from multiple systems.Performs other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required, assigned and directed.


QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education - Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Accounting, Information Systems, Finance or related field.

 

Experience - 2-3 years of accounting financial system analysis experience.


Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Excellent oral and written English communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving/analytical skills, and good presentation skills. Self-motivated, positive attitude and flexibility.Ability to manage workload utilizing various computer platforms/software applications.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage input from multiple workflows.Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior.Proficiency with PC skills; intermediate knowledge of MS 365 (Excel, Word, MS Access, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote).Strong experience with financial consolidation systems (Oracle ERP, as well as Oracle EPM ).   Proficient knowledge of accounting and financial analysis concepts and techniques.Some experience with financial software conversions. Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior.


Physical Requirements: Ability to speak/hear clearly in person, in Teams/Zoom Meetings and on the telephone, ability to operate a computer keyboard

The range for this position is $63,700 - $90,700 and is based on an employee located at our corporate headquarters in San Diego. If the candidate is hired in a different city to work remote, we will apply a geographic pay differential based on the cost of labor in the market in which the employee resides.
