Lead the development, implementation, and administration of the organization's financial systems. Research financial record-keeping and reporting requirements and ensure that systems are modified to meet these requirements
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Drive financial control across the organization for compliance requirements
Evaluate and set the best-fit purpose and sustainable technology for use by the group financial reporting and corporate service teams
Maintain and update the financial reports
Improve financial reporting process by studying, evaluating, and redesigning process; implementing changes
Provide financial insights by reviewing monthly exceptions and related reporting, and providing feedback to stakeholders such as Business Units, Account Owners, and Finance & Accounting Management
Facilitate and assist in the delivery of specific reporting requirements as and where required, including routine and ad-hoc requirements
Build and implement effective strategies that ensure overall data integrity
Lead system upgrades and application/system modification development
Attest to the validity of the financial information produced at the group level
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline
4-6 years of business finance or related role. Financial modeling experience
Experience in a finance or accounting role within a large complex organization
Experience in a financial analytical role. Direct experience with accounting and cost accounting
Experience in a role preparing financial graphs, charts, reports
Experience in a role working with both accounting/finance and financial systems is required
Experience in an analytical role within the finance sector or quantitative analysis
Experience in preparing data for presentations
Knowledge of regulatory reporting, SEC, and OCC
Ability to exercise judgment in making critical decisions
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
Detail-oriented with organizational skills
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures and principles
Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, databases, etc.)
Skill in analyzing data and organizing technical data
Proficient in accounting systems
Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
