Financial Systems Manager, Corporate Systems
Overview Job Purpose The Financial Systems Manager, Corporate Systems role will be responsible for managing, developing, configuration and testing the technical aspects of the tools, applications, interfaces and processes managed by Corporate Systems department at Intercontinental Exchange Inc, a fast-paced, global leader in the financial and technology sector. This role requires frequent engagement with departmental users and third-party application vendors, to ensure that we deliver a quality service to our internal customers and outside agencies/regulators. This role will also participate in various requirement/design discussions, propose and drive technical solutions, and design outcomes that ensure successful delivery of business capabilities. This role is a senior role within the Corporate Systems team. The ability to lead and communicate effectively with members of the team and other key stakeholders is mandatory. As well as the ability to deputize for the Director of Corporate systems (as needed). Responsibilities Manage projects from specification gathering, to development, to QA, user acceptance testing, and deployment to production Collaborate with other internal groups to translate business and functional requirements into technical implementation for the automation of existing processes and the development of new applications Communicate with internal stakeholders in non-technical terms, understand business requirements, and propose solutions Document changes and author documentation on software development standards and practices In a mainly technology (partly functional) lead role, understand end-to-end business processes, articulate business requirements into technical solution systems/interfaces/tools that are the responsibility of the Financial Systems team. Prototype & present solutions to business and other stakeholders in an easily digestible manner Support and build technical solutions in systems/interfaces/tools that are the responsibility of the Financial Systems team Ensure technical design and development meets security, compliance, and good development standards as defined by policies enacted at Intercontinental Exchange. Identify and implement opportunities in the solution that will drive improvements in performance, scalability, reliability and re-usability Create technical and functional design documents Operate in a defined scope of development work for projects and deliver per the agreed project timelines Be up to date with latest developments and releases for tools/applications managed by the financial systems team Remain knowledgeable of current technology and carry out research to identify new trends that can be used to achieve maximum results Knowledge and Experience A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, finance, or accounting 7-10+ years of experience in multiple end-to-end technical implementations/integrations projects of Oracle Cloud or Oracle EBS (R12 & 11i) involving Financials modules across Finance industry domains Previous experience developing software or being a technical architect and managing large software projects Demonstrated team management experience, either managing direct reports or managing cross functional teams Demonstrated experience in gathering and documenting technical and functional business requirements, leading fit-gap analysis sessions, conference room pilots (CRPs), technical configuration, testing, client user training Strong technical experience and functional knowledge of Oracle Cloud Financials applications Understanding of File based data import and export (FBDI) processes. Integration experience using webservices/REST API Familiarity with Web Application Architecture (HTTP, Client/Server, HTML, JavaScript) Excellent Oracle/SQL and Java query skills required. Proven track record of successful system troubleshooting and assisting end users/customers in a timely manner Experience with working in a multi-currency, global organization Knowledge of sound project and development control mechanisms such as planning and project/development progress tracking / control, estimating, logic analysis, resource planning and allocation, issue, and risk management Ability to contend effectively with ambiguity and varying levels of detail Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills Preferred Experience with UiPath Robotics application Experience with one or more of the following applications; High Radius (Collections and Cash Applications Modules), Blackline(Intercompany and Basic Reconciliations Modules). Stripe system integration with ERP systems Financial industry experience with Finance and/or accounting knowledge Experience with back office, shared services processes is a plus Schedule This role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.
