Job Description
We are seeking a Fine Fragrance Laboratory Manager to manage our laboratory and act as the liaison between perfumery, sales, and laboratory teams. This role involves compounding fine fragrance formulas as created by the perfumer, overseeing laboratory operations, and ensuring the highest standards in fragrance development.
ResponsibilitiesManage priorities of the fragrance and application laboratory.Act as liaison between perfumery, sales, and laboratory.Train and mentor new laboratory technicians.Prepare fine fragrance formulas for perfumers and sample requests.Prepare application demos for client sample requests.Maintain a clean and organized work station, stock room, and perfumer library.Maintain and order fresh stock of raw materials.Maintain and order laboratory equipment and supplies.Process and record all client sample requests.Essential Skills5-10 years of experience in a fragrance laboratory.Mastery in compounding formulas.Familiarity with making candles.Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field (Master's preferred).Confidence and leadership abilities.Additional Skills & QualificationsBasic math and computer skills.Good communication and time management skills.Work Environment
This role is based in a laboratory environment, requiring the handling of various raw materials and laboratory equipment. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with fragrances and chemicals. The work environment is collaborative, with a focus on innovation and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization. Standard business hours apply, with occasional need for flexibility depending on project demands.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $110000.00
