INTRODUCTION

This position facilitates the movement of raw materials throughout the plant, from receiving to the various manufacturing areas for completion and back to shipping.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Unloads inbound shipments of raw materials and verifies for accuracyCreates and affixes pallet tags to identify materialMoves raw materials to a stock locationAcknowledges location of materials in the systemOptimizes stock locations on an ongoing basisRetrieves stock as necessary for jobsMoves WIP to operational areas as necessaryManifests and loads recycled material on to recycle truckPuts overstock to designated locationConducts cycle counts and full inventory counts as necessary, working with respective Inventory analysts to reconcilePerforms other job duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Certified to operate heavy material handling machinery (electric pallet jack, forklift, reach truck)Ability to read and write instructions, correspondence, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manualsBasic mathematical skillsExperience with or become comfortable with RFID scannersAble to use computers for finding information, entering information, writing, and sending emailMaintain good attendanceMust be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periodsMust be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation

 

EDUCATION

High school diploma preferred Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
