Finishing Operator 2nd Shift

Position Summary:

The Finishing Operator is responsible for visually inspects, deburrs, cleans, tumbles, blasts, and spinning small machined components. This effort includes, but is not limited to, the use of various tooling is required to remove loose or fixed burrs, cleaning of sharp edges, and polishing and blending machined surfaces of the medical device(s). This individual works with the entire department to ensure parts are finished properly to meet company standards.

Essential Functions:

Visual inspections of machined components using stereo-microscope

Measures and inspects medical device products in accordance with manufacturing specifications

Cleans, blasts, tumbles, and spinning sub-components following established procedures

Utilizes hand tools including but not limited to deburring knives, files, and pneumatic tools to remove burrs and assemble parts, use of automatic machine equipment to tumble, blast, and clean. The ability to hand blast

Visual inspections utilizing illumination devices & microscope to view internal areas of components to ensure they are adequately deburred

Escalates problems/issues to the Finishing Manager

Accurately complete all quality documentation and inspection sheets

Follows all verbal and/or written instructions such as blueprints, traveler, work instruction, process specifications, sketches, and direction from supervisor in completing a variety of assembly and inspection tasks

Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies

Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent

Attention to detail

Ability to work under a microscope for an extended period of time

Ability to read part drawings; above average manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude

Organized, Team player with the ability to multi-task effectively

Reliable, self-starting team player with ability to work with little or no supervision

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Attention to detail

Self-starter

Advanced critical thinking and problems-solving skills

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products
