Finishing Operator
**Job Title: Finishing Operator** **Job Description** As a Finishing Operator, you will perform visual inspections of machined components using a stereo-microscope and measure and inspect medical device products in accordance with manufacturing specifications. You will clean, blast, tumble, and spin sub-components following established procedures and utilize hand tools to remove burrs and assemble parts. Your role will involve using automatic machine equipment to tumble, blast, and clean, and the ability to hand blast. You will also be responsible for visual inspections using illumination devices and microscopes to ensure components are adequately deburred. Additionally, you will escalate problems to the Finishing Manager, complete all quality documentation accurately, and follow all verbal and written instructions to complete various assembly and inspection tasks. Adherence to the company Code of Conduct and compliance with applicable laws and regulations is essential. **Responsibilities** + Perform visual inspections of machined components using a stereo-microscope. + Measure and inspect medical device products according to manufacturing specifications. + Clean, blast, tumble, and spin sub-components following established procedures. + Utilize hand tools, including deburring knives, files, and pneumatic tools, to remove burrs and assemble parts. + Use automatic machine equipment to tumble, blast, and clean, and have the ability to hand blast. + Conduct visual inspections using illumination devices and microscopes to ensure components are adequately deburred. + Escalate problems or issues to the Finishing Manager. + Accurately complete all quality documentation and inspection sheets. + Follow all verbal and written instructions, including blueprints, traveler, work instructions, process specifications, sketches, and supervisor directions. + Adhere to the company Code of Conduct, AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. + Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations by completing training and maintaining knowledge relevant to your role. + Represent the company professionally and uphold high ethical standards in all interactions. **Essential Skills** + Attention to detail. + Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods. + Ability to read part drawings, with above-average manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude. + Organized team player with the ability to multi-task effectively. + Reliable, self-starting team player with the ability to work with little or no supervision. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. + Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Deburring + Sand blasting + Grinding **Why Work Here?** The medical device industry is booming and growing rapidly. The work environment is casual, and employees must dress presentably. The shift is from 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Candidates will primarily work independently or with a small team. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Norriton, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
