POSITION SUMMARY:
Sandblasts, deburrs, polishes, grinds and washes the surface of stainless-steel parts to remove various imperfections and achieve the finish quality defined by work instructions and/or engineering drawings.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Level 1:
At all times ensures safety is the top priority while performing any part of the job Follow verbal and written instructions given by Production Supervisor Safely operator hand tools (grinders, sanders, etc.) as needed to achieve required finish standard Operate sandblast booth Read and comprehend finishing notes on engineering drawings Obtain and maintain overhead crane certification Assist in mixing and adding the specified amounts of required abrasive mix to machine hopper or pit Load/unload carts and push carts to the next station Competent in producing a DA finish Competent in the Electropolish process Competent in meeting the requirements of a 6-101 finish standard Competent in meeting the requirements of a 6-102 finish standard Other duties as assignedPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education and/or Experience: Level 1: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence and communicate verbally with other employees. Mathematical Skills Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Reasoning Ability Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, blue print, or schedule form. Ability to deal with problems involving few variables in standardized situations.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee must be able to pass yearly respiratory health exam required to operate sandblast booth.
