FinOps Analyst (mid-career)

Description:This position is for a FinOps Analyst working for the Lockheed Martin Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) FORCE FinOps team supporting efficient cost management of both cloud and on-premises workloads.
FinOps Analyst responsibilities:
- Provide support in analysis of billing data and identifying trends and anomalies
- Support assessments of cost savings opportunities for cloud and on-premises workloads
- Support design and development of FinOps reports, gathering requirements and using data visualization tools to create visually appealing reports
- Identify and integrate data sources to enhance and meet reporting requirements
- Support implementation of data models to drive efficient analysis and reporting
- Define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) based on analysis with stakeholder feedback to track areas for improvement
- Collaborate with different stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide relevant insights.

A development background, familiarity with cloud, automation, DevOps, and full stack engineering. Effective verbal and written communication skills and management of priorities and deliverables plus the ability to work within a team environment are expected. Heavy collaboration and consulting with numerous business area/business unit representatives, adherence to the highest standards of ethics and professional conduct in addition to the ability to work flexible hours are expected.

Basic Qualifications:
- Knowledge of data warehousing and data lake concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communicator to both management and technical staff
- Demonstrated ability to team across organizational boundaries and geographical locations to collaborate with and influence others
- Experience with accomplishing strategic, objectives, clearly communicating ideas, delivering instructions, and following through on actions
Desired Skills:
- Experience using Business Intelligence tools, such as SQL, Tableau and/or AWS QuickSight
- Experience with FinOps and AWS and/or Azure cloud billing
- Experience with data manipulation and transformation techniques
- Understanding of FinOps or a desire to learn
- Ability to interpret complex data sets and align data analysis with business objectives
- Proficiency with data analysis tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings effectively to various audiences
- B.S. degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cyber Security, or Information Technology)
- Experience with the Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe, SCRUM, etc.) and Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA)
Familiarity with automation, DevOps, and full stack engineering.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipeline, static code analysis, dynamic code analysis.
- Certification credentials (Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner; FinOps Certified Practitioner)

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $98,800 - $186,100. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $85,900 - $164,600. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
