Fire Alarm Inspector II

**Aerotek's client is looking for a Fire Alarm Inspector II to join their team in the Baltimore, MD area**
**The Fire Alarm Inspector will be responsible:**
+ Perform routine inspections and functional testing of simple fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA 72 and local standards
+ Test and troubleshoot initiating devices, notification appliances, and system components, addressing malfunctions or deficiencies
+ Assist in inspections and testing of interconnected systems, including elevators, HVAC shutdown, fire doors, tampers and flows
+ Assist senior technicians with the installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire protection systems, including fire suppression, detection, and alarm systems
+ Shadow experienced technicians during site visits to observe and learn industry best practices in system management and servicing
+ Engage in training sessions and workshops to develop foundational knowledge of fire protection system components, technologies, and operational procedures
+ Participate in routine inspections and testing of fire alarm and sprinkler systems
+ Assist in the installation, maintenance, and upgrades of fire alarm systems as needed
+ Document all service activities, including inspection results and repairs, and complete testing reports with noted deficiencies
+ Communicate system performance and deficiencies to customers and account managers for accurate quoting of recommended repairs
+ Collaborate with senior technicians and supervisors to learn advanced fire alarm system technologies and best practices
+ Adhere to safety protocols and regulations in all on-site activities and training exercises to ensure a secure working environment
+ Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, actively contributing to project tasks and fostering a positive learning environment
**Hard Skills**
+ Troubleshooting systems
+ Performing necessary repairs
+ Proficiency with PCs including MS Excel/Word and iPhone apps
+ Ability to carry and move equipment and tools up to 40 lbs
+ Ability to work in unusual and difficult positions
+ Valid driver's license and good driving record
+ Ability to obtain and retain required licenses
+ 5+ years of experience inspecting fire alarms, sprinklers, hydrants, and extinguishers
+ **NICET Level certification 2 NEEDED!**
**Work Environment**
+ The role involves working in a variety of environments including multi-use sites between DC to Baltimore, and requires flexibility in working hours and willingness to travel out of town with overnight lodging.
