Summary The Fire Alarm System Apprentice is responsible for assisting the Fire Alarm System Lead technician with the installation of fire alarm wire and devices. Responsibilities Works under the direction of the Lead Technician. Assist with wire install and verifying wire is free of shorts or grounds. Assist with the installation of Fire Alarm devices. Assist with pre-testing the Fire Alarm System prior to final inspection. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) High school diploma or GED preferred. Fire Alarm experience preferred but not required. Valid driver’s license. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of fire alarm systems preferred but not required.
