As a result of continued growth, we are actively seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Baltimore, MD. As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will: + Repair/service, troubleshoot and install fire alarm system, voice/evacuation & power extender panels, annunciators & fire alarm dialers. + Identify fire alarm deficiencies. + Knowledge of different types of panels and how to access programming features. + Troubleshooting knowledge of field wiring and output circuits. + Ability to read and use a multi-meter properly. + Proper customer service and communication with internal and external customers + Obtain and/or maintain NICET certification. + Cover on-call hours for servicing customers, including nights and weekends on a rotating basis. Qualifications: + Microsoft Office programs + Familiarity with Firelite, Silent Knight, Notifier, Simplex, Gamewell & Siemens systems + Valid state driver’s license. + Travel between customer sites daily within the Baltimore & Washington, DC metropolitan areas. Education and/or Experience: + High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Basic electrical skills Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: + NICET + Any specific manufacturer factory training certification or license. + Journeyman or Master’s electrical license Physical Demands and Work Environment: + Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds + Depending on the customer site, noise level could be quiet (as in a library or public office) or moderate (as in a business office with computers and light traffic) + Ability to withstand heights and climb ladders comfortably.
