This advanced safety role requires a motivated individual with a proventrack recordin loss prevention and may involve attending continuing education courses. Corporate Risk Management and other Fire Safety Officersprovideprofessional guidance to the Fire and Safety Manager. **Key Responsibilities** + Manages the occupational safety and health program for the entire facility, including regular facility inspections and hazard identification. + Establishes and implements effective emergency preparedness plans and conducts scheduled fire drills. + Investigates accidents anddeterminesroot cause, whileprovidingregular safety training to new hires and conducting monthly safety committee meetings. + Ensures safe practices for chemical handling,sanitationand waste removal activities, as well as monitoring the safe workplace activities of outside contractors. + Responsible for budgeting input andprovidingweekly and monthly activity reports to the Facility Administrator. **Qualifications & Requirements** Education + High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences or related field highly desirable. Experience + Five (5) years of experience in professional safety and loss control capacity preferred. + Proven leadership experience. Must be able to work with employees at all levels within the facility. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability and desire to work in a cooperative manner and to make management decisions.
