Fire Control Test and Hardware Technician

Contract Position
$36.75-$41.75/Hour

Responsibilities:
Develop and execute test plans to prepare training systems for delivery, including system verification tests at customer sites.Provide technical expertise by instructing users in system operation and maintenance.Support system tactical planning and design by attending demos at partner locations.Design, develop, troubleshoot, and test hardware during research and product development.Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot development hardware.Support hardware infrastructure design and implementation, including power/cooling analysis for server room sustainment.Maintain hardware inventory and document configuration changes.Collaborate effectively within an engineering team on design, materials, and equipment setup.Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related specialized field (or equivalent 4 years of job-related experience).An additional 2+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree.Clearance Requirements:
Active Secret Clearance is required.Experience and Skills:
Extensive knowledge of the AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System.Familiarity with the SWFTS community.Significant experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network and computer hardware.Basic Linux command-line navigation skills.Ability to travel as required.Preferred Experience:
