The responsibilities of a Fire Protection Designer are as follows but not limited to: + Design fire sprinkler systems and prepare submittal drawings and calculations for tenant improvement projects + Surveying existing fire sprinkler systems at job sites + Prepare material lists and take-offs + Work closely with the Project Management staff to assist with day to day project activities + Obtain approved plans and permits with the Authority Having Jurisdiction + Coordinate & schedule inspections with the Authority Having Jurisdiction + Prepare closeout documents Requirements Requirements + Proficient in AutoCAD or modeling software + Understanding of fluid dynamics + Proficient in Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) + Ability to manage time and handle multiple projects and tasks + Ability to work in office + A clean DMV record and reliable transportation Desired Skills + Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering + 2 years industry experience + Proficient in sprinkler software such as autoSPRINK, SPRINKCAD, hydraCAD + Knowledgeable of NFPA code requirements specifically NFPA-13 + Ability to read construction documents and plans Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
