FIRE PROTECTION INSPECTOR
Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will be responsible for planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of all phases of the fire prevention program in the absences of the Lead Fire Protection inspector or Assistant Chief of Prevention. You will interpret all applicable regulations, policies, fire and life safety codes as may be necessary for enforcement. You will develop public fire and life safety education programs, including program budgets. You will develop fire and life safety inspection programs for fire suppression personnel. You will compile statistical data and prepares periodic reports concerning plans, review, fire inspections and corrections, fire investigations and fire and life safety education activities within NSA Bahrain Area of Responsibilities. You will establish procedures and documentation for fire extinguishers maintenance programs to cover equipment under the jurisdiction of the NSA Bahrain F and ES. You will serve as a liaison and representative between NSA Bahrain F and ES and other agencies, including but not limited to civilian Fire Prevention departments, interagency personnel, contractors, vendors and all other entities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1. Working with operating officials and project officers to Determining potential and existing fire hazards works AND 2. Applying knowledge of building construction such as National Fire Codes and manufacturer's manuals to develop fire prevention practices in the reduction of fires or explosions; AND 3. Reviewing work requests involving alteration and extension of existing facilities to ensure compliance with fire prevention requirements; AND 4. Establishing procedures and documentations for fire extinguisher equipment maintenance programs. NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for this position.
