Fire Protection & Plumbing Designer

 

Our continued growth offers a Fire Protection Engineer in our Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing group. This role requires expertise in analyzing and designing new fire protection systems. 

 

 

The successful candidate will work independently on fire protection and plumbing projects while offering mentorship as we enhance our fire protection expertise. They will also lead the design and conduct risk assessments to identify potential fire hazards.

 

 

This role will be responsible for the design and risk assessment for potential fire hazards. Additionally, this individual will mentor staff and maintain client relationships.

 

 

This position is hybrid and can be based in our Wilmington, Charlotte, or Meriden offices. 

 

 

Responsibilities Include:

Analysis of Fire Protection Systems Technical design of new Fire Protection Systems (suppression, fire detection, alarm) Application of appropriate building and fire codes to design criteria  Conduct Risk Assessments to identify potential fire hazards Develop Summary of Code Requirements Use of engineering design software such as REVIT              Mentor and determine staffing needs and recommended projects Inform team members about technical details Maintain positive client relationships

Required Experience:

Proficiency in REVIT Project/Senior Engineer with 5+ years of experience with Fire Protection/Plumbing Systems PE License preferred  Excellent written and oral communication skills
