**Responsibilities**
**What You'll Do:**
+ **Subject Matter Expert:** Serve as the SME for fire protection, covering construction types, occupancy classification, water supplies, and more.
+ **Fire Protection Program:** Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive fire protection program in compliance with NASA standards.
+ **Facility Support:** Conduct fire risk analyses, engineering surveys, and support facility projects with code compliance and inspections.
+ **Emergency Response:** Participate in pre-construction conferences, final inspections, and acceptance tests of fire protection systems.
+ **Consultation Services:** Provide code compliance consultation for NASA engineering and facility managers.
**Qualifications**
+ **Education:** High School Diploma or GED required.
+ **Certifications:** Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) with 6 years of experience or Professional Engineer in Fire Protection Engineering with 5 years of experience. NIMS ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 certifications required.
+ **Skills:** Strong knowledge of National Fire Codes, ADA, OSHA Standards, Florida Building Codes, IBC, and NASA requirements. Proficient with computers and MS Office applications.
+ **Requirements:** Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid Class E Florida state driver’s license, and have no record or history of illegal drug use, sale, possession, or manufacture during the previous five years. Must successfully complete all training and obtain all required licenses, certifications, and security/medical clearances for the site.
