As aclaims adjuster for fire and theft, you’ll be a vital part of our Claims team. In this role, you’ll investigate and resolve fire and theft damage claims. Along with analyzing coverage and liability, you’ll own repair management, vehicle damage assessment and rental management.

This is a hybrid role. You’ll be expected to report to an office about four days per month for important meetings, training, and collaboration and will have the benefit of continued coaching from a supportive team. If you prefer an in-office environment, you’re welcome to work in the office more than four days per month.

Candidates must reside within 30 miles of Progressive's Federal Way or Spokane Valley Claims office.

Duties Responsibilities

Oversee vehicle inspections most commonly for fire, theft recovery losses, and vandalism damage; ensure damage is consistent with the report of loss and verify timelinesComplete thorough recorded statements of all potential claiming parties and material partiesConsult with agents, witnesses, law enforcement, fire department personnel, vehicle service providers, and forensic specialistsManage rental and determines whether a vehicle should be declared a total lossIf repairable,guide vehicle through repair processIf a total loss,gather appropriate title documents, negotiate and settle the total loss, and oversees salvage process

Must-have qualifications

A minimum of four years of relevant work experience with one year claims adjuster, property damage adjuster, repair work within an automobile repair and/or body shop experience. {OR} Associate's degree and a minimum of three years relevant work experience with one year claims adjuster, property damage adjuster, repair work within an automobile repair and/or body shop experience. {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of one year claims adjuster, property damage adjuster, repair work within an automobile repair and/or body shop experience. Must have successfully completed the Fire and Investigations Course by Claims University (or complete within three months of hiring into position). This position requires a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Schedule:Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm

Compensation

$63,000 - $73,000/year, based onexperience and geographical location.Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 16% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
