Description/Job Summary Responsibilities + Firestopping Technician installs caulking at Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, and Fire Sprinkler penetrations. Also, at Drywall, Masonry, and Curtain Wall joint applications. + Installs caulking at Penetrations and Joints using a bulk caulk gun, pulling product out of buckets, using 'sausage' packs, or standard tubes. + Inspect their work to ensure installation was done per UL Design. + Ability to read blue prints/life safety drawings. + Access to Penetrations and Joints may require use of boom lifts, scissor lifts, swing stage, scaffolds, and ladders. + Duties of this job will require employee to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; as well as climb or balance and talk or hear. Qualifications + High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience + Past firestop experience preferred + Must have form of dependable transportation; must be able to travel out of town, both on overnight and one day trips + OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred + Fall Protection. Forklift, Boom Lift, Scissor Lift certification preferred + The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
