Braun Intertec is seeking a Firestopping Inspector, Entry Level to join our White Bear Lake, MN location. The person will also be assisting in the quality control of the processes for inspection and will need to help in the performance of the inspections in new construction.
Responsibilities:
Receive training, execute firestop inspection policies/procedures and technical processes, including field inspections and reporting of firestop applicationsImplement internal firestop policies/procedures and technical processes, including the review of Life Safety Drawings, specifications, firestopping submittals, UL systems, and special inspection reportsPrepares reports and other work related documents in a timely and accurate mannerUnderstands and utilizes safe work practices Required Skills:
Willingness to learn and understand firestop systems and fire ratingsDependable and reliable with strong work ethicHave mechanical aptitudeAbility to follow directionsAttention to detailExceptional safety and quality work awareness Excellent communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to travel to project sites and to the service areas of the company on a national levelAbility to lift a minimum of 50 lbsMust have valid driver’s license and clean driving recordMust be computer proficientRequired Education/Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent2-years of construction or inspection related experience preferred Ability to pass the IFC Firestop Inspectors exam with a minimum score of 80% within 30 days of start dateUnderstanding of the inspection and reporting process as defined by the IBCFamiliarity with reporting tools used in the industryBraun Intertec is a drug-free workplace and require all new hires to complete a pre-employment drug screen test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.

Compensation Range:
