Job Description
We are seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to support our Telematics Firmware project and contribute to both current product support and new product development. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on advanced forklift technology, including battery tracking, truck data mapping, and feature improvement.
ResponsibilitiesSupport current forklift products and implement newly developed technology into new products.Allocate 20% of time to supporting existing products and 80% to new product development.Own the full life cycle of new product development, including code development, troubleshooting, minor testing, and implementation.Collaborate with another team for full product testing.Increase functionality and data capabilities of forklifts through telematics work.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.6+ years of experience in firmware development for embedded systems (Industrial or Automotive Devices).Strong experience in Embedded C++ development.Proficiency in Linux, including experience writing code for Linux machines.Experience with lab equipment (Multi-Meter, Oscilloscope) and performing field testing.Application development experience.Experience with industrial connectivity and communication, ideally telematics-focused.Proficiency in serial communication with vector tools (CANbus, CAN Tools such as CANalyzer and PCAN).Experience in multi-threaded and multi-process systems.Strong communication and presentation skills to present project milestones.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with wireless communication.Knowledge of database storage.Work Environment
