Job Title: Firmware Engineer
Job Description

We are a clinical environment design company that specializes in developing and producing a wide variety of medical devices. We are located in Versailles, OH and are currently looking for a Firmware Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, document, and test software systems, especially embedded systems, for use within equipment and machinery.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop firmware for a line of medical devices using Embedded C, C++ or PythonDesign and implement system architecture for embedded systemsPerform debugging, unit testing and system testing of embedded productsDevelop embedded C and RTOS kernel drivers for various peripheralsImplement interfacing protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and USBDesign and develop circuit board schematics and layouts for embedded systemsAssist in the development of automated test tools and softwarePerform Matlab or Simulink simulationsEssential Skills5+ years of experience with Embedded C Programming5+ years of microcontrollers experience (8, 16, 32 bit)Experience with analyzing/interpreting data, preparing test protocols and test reportsExperience working in a regulated environment (medical device, automotive, aerospace/DOD, etc.)5+ years of experience with bare metal embedded C developmentAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with firmware development in Embedded CKnowledge of UL standardsFamiliarity with Embedded Software, Microcontrollers, and Medical DevicesWork Environment

This position is based in Versailles, OH, with the option to work 4 days in the office and 1 day from home. Alternatively, individuals can work out of the Austin Landing office (southside of Dayton) with a requirement to be in the office 4 days a week and travel to Versailles 2-3 times per quarter. The company offers a state-of-the-art corporate headquarters with labs, testing facilities, and a highly collaborative environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $67.31/hr.
