Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Firmware Software Engineer to architect, design, and develop full stack software applications within the IoT domain. You will be part of a dynamic team supporting a digital transformation by creating IoT applications that deliver new insights to our diverse customer base.
ResponsibilitiesWork with stakeholders to document system requirements for backend stack components or IoT applicationsParticipate in new product development as part of a cross-functional team involving hardware, software, SME professionals, and external partnersDevelop and test IoT systems, including IoT edge devices and backend stack componentsStay on the cutting edge of technology by continually evaluating new tools, techniques, and processesSupport firmware development for circuit boards controlling commercial dish machine operationsDevelop firmware that communicates with a gateway to send and receive data from the cloudCollaborate with other software engineers and dish machine designers to ensure software meets design requirementsEssential Skills3 or more years working in C or C++ in embedded firmware developmentExperience working with ESP32 WIFI modulesExperience with embedded RTOS or bare-metal developmentExperience in supporting Embedded Firmware Platform and Board Support Package developmentProficiency in PythonExperience with device drivers and serial communication protocols, such as UART, SPI, and I2CAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Microsoft Azure IoT embedded systemsExperience in one or more of the following areas: bootstrap loader, embedded file systems, system controls, Linux, CAN Bus development, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCPExperience with Agile development methodologiesExperience in ARM-based microcontrollers, such as Microchip, NXP, Silicon Labs, or ST MicroInitiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team while handling multiple tasks or projectsWork Environment
This role involves working in an engineering environment with a team of software engineers developing a new embedded system for controlling a commercial dish machine. You will participate in project update meetings, DevOps, and agile project management meetings. The work environment is high-tech and collaborative, focusing on cutting-edge technology
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
