**Job Title: First Article Inspector**
**Job Description**
As a First Article Inspector, you will be responsible for developing and creating AS 9102 First Article Inspection Reports. You will assist in the comprehensive inspection of newly manufactured components and review engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation to ensure product requirements and inspection criteria are met. You will also document inspection results accurately, including deviations, non-conformities, and areas for improvement.
**Responsibilities**
+ Develop and create AS 9102 First Article Inspection Reports.
+ Assist with the completion of comprehensive first article inspections of newly manufactured components.
+ Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation to understand product requirements and inspection criteria.
+ Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, including deviations, non-conformities, and areas for improvement.
+ Assist with the creation of detailed part inspection plans to assist with the ongoing inspection of production parts.
+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection processes, streamline workflows, and optimize quality control procedures.
+ Maintain detailed records of inspection activities, including documentation of FAI reports, measurement data, and inspection plans.
+ Analyze inspection data and quality metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for improvement.
+ Collaborate with planning, production, engineering, and other relevant departments to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent future defects.
+ Develop and implement effective corrective action plans (CAPs) to address identified issues.
+ Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions to ensure issues are resolved permanently.
+ Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure corrective actions are executed timely and effectively.
+ Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
+ Use Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality improvement methodologies to drive process improvements.
+ May perform other related duties as required by the company.
+ Adhere to company policies, safety guidelines, and quality management systems to uphold the highest standards of product quality and integrity.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in an AS 9102 environment.
+ Experience in the aerospace industry.
+ Experience creating FAI Forms (3 forms).
+ Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
+ Experience using inspection methods, quality inspection, and quality checks.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Proficiency in visual inspection.
+ Familiarity with quality assurance practices.
+ Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
+ Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Fort Erie, Ontario.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00
**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Fort Erie,ON.
