Pay Rate:

$82,500 – 110,000

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:

 

The FLL Pulp Position: This position provides leadership and support in the pulp manufacturing process. They must help manage the safety, environmental, people, operations, and reliability performance of the Pulp Mill areas including: Woodyard, Digesters, Caustic Plant, Brown Stock Washers, Bleach Plants, ClO2 generators and OCC Plant. They will manage all production and maintenance shift employees in their area while on rotation to ensure the safe, effective, efficient and continuous operation of the mill. The FLL will be heavily involved in a broad spectrum of areas such as Leadership, Operations, Maintenance, Technical, and People.  They must help manage the safety, environmental, people, operations, and reliability performance of the Pulp Mill areas This role is also required to be a member of and to lead the Mill’s Emergency Response Team in the event of an emergency. Manage in a goal-oriented environment to deliver targeted results in the areas of safety, environmental, employee engagement, reliability, cost, quality, and productivity. Set crew expectations, leverage teamwork, and hold individuals and team accountable for results. Interface with other departments to ensure quality parameters are achieved and maintained. Hold developmental one-to-one feedback sessions with direct reports. Implement and support reliability excellence initiatives (ie. work systems, precision maintenance, basic care, and RCFA.)

 

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

B.S. degree in Engineering or related field preferred, will consider candidate with equivalent on the job experience. Prefer 3 to 5 years experience in Pulp Manufacturing and/or OCC operations.  Completion of First Line Leader or other formal Leadership Development required. Successful candidate must have demonstrated strong leadership skills and a proven track record of improving employee engagement. Qualified candidates should also possess good oral and written communication skills. Completion of Front Line Leader modules and certification required, will accept candidate who is enrolled with a commitment to complete modules within 6 months.   Action Oriented, Functional / Technical Skills, Building Effective Teams, Confronting Direct Reports, Command Skills, Conflict Management, Listening, Informing, Planning, Organizational Agility, Managing Through Systems
