First Officer (Copilot) - Part Time

The first officer reports to the chief pilot and is responsible to the captain of the flight for the conduct and execution of assigned duties.
Some of the first officer’s duties include, but are not limited to:
+ Assisting the captain with discharging safety responsibilities
+ Providing excellent customer service to passengers
+ Performing duties as assigned during flight preparation and in flight
+ Being prepared to assume the duties of the pilot in command in the event the pilot in command is incapacitated
+ Being familiar with and following all FARs and company policies pertinent to assigned duties
+ Complying with schedules and other directives governing the aircraft’s operation
+ Ensuring that preflight inspections are performed
+ Studying weather conditions at destination, en route, alternate airports and departure points
+ Ensuring that the aircraft is clean and prepared for flight with all provisions on board for the safety and comfort of the passengers
+ Reviewing and calculating the aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board and performance charts
+ Using checklists
+ Assisting the captain in making decisions necessary to start, delay, or cancel flights and deviate the flight from planned route or destination when operating conditions dictate
+ Oversee refueling and servicing of the aircraft as instructed by the aircraft captain
+ Assist in the loading and unloading of baggage and perform other services as required to expedite the handling of passengers
+ Complete all required aircraft forms logs, records and reports
**Preferred Education:**
Bachelor's Degree in Aviation, Business, or related field
**License and Experience Requirements:**
+ FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate – Airplane Multi-Engine Land, Instrument Airplane
+ First Class Medical Certificate
+ 1,500 hours total flight time, 500 hours of fixed wing pilot-in-command experience, 500 hours fixed wing cross country time, 100 hours night flight time, 75 hours of instrument flight time in actual or simulated instrument conditions, prior turbojet or turboprop experience in a crew environment.
+ No accidents, incidents, or FAA violations
+ Valid Driver’s License

Environment: Work is performed in internal and external environments with exposure to inclement weather and varying temperatures; work is also performed in an airplane, and involves attention to detail, long hours, long periods without breaks, and independent judgment as to the safety of the flight conditions.
Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
Vision: Must meet standards for visual acuity, and speak effectively in a clear, understandable voice.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
