**Job Title: Custodial Manager**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Custodial Manager to oversee 17-20 unionized custodial employees. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 6am to 2:30pm, with a rotating weekend coverage every third weekend. During those weekends, you will get two days off during the week. The role involves managing and supervising the team to ensure efficient and correct completion of cleaning tasks across the campus.
**Responsibilities**
+ Manage and supervise 17-20 unionized custodial employees.
+ Address any issues amongst employees or management in a stern manner.
+ Deploy the team effectively to make the quickest impact in areas needing cleaning.
+ Instruct team on floor cleaning, waxing and stripping, carpet cleaning, etc., without performing these tasks personally.
+ Help out when necessary, but primarily focus on managing rather than assisting custodians.
+ Ensure efficient and correct completion of cleaning tasks.
+ Prioritize projects, including common area cleaning, dorm room clean outs, floor cleaning, etc.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in cleaning and janitorial services.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and email communication.
+ Experience supervising or managing 10+ employees.
+ Strong customer relations skills.
+ Experience in ordering supplies and inventory management.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Hands-on cleaning experience.
+ Customer-facing cleaning experience for a third-party company.
+ Spanish speaking is a plus.

This position is based on a college campus. The role involves managing a team of custodians to maintain cleanliness across various campus areas. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Hartford, Connecticut.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00
