First Vice President

Our Northeast division is seeking a First Vice President (FVP) to join our Marketing team located in the Bryant Park area of NYC.  This position will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer of HUB Northeast.

The primary responsibility of the FVP is to market and place new and renewal business as assigned by the Chief Marketing Officer or Regional Marketing Officer.  Work with producers to identify new business opportunities outside of standard broking such as collateral alternatives, loss control services, TPA marketing and claims closure projects.  Develop standard specifications, loss summaries, TCOR and cash flow exhibits including developing casualty content for RFPs.  Provide analytical support for the region to gauge both viability of loss sensitive as well as validate first dollar pricing, using both desktop software (Risk 66) and HUB’s analytics practice.  Act as liaison between service teams and HUB’s captive practice.  Support account executives and producers by designing marketing and implementation of primary and excess casualty programs for existing and new business for the following types of businesses: real estate, retail, hospitality, social services, construction and financial institutions.  

FVP is required to develop and maintain relationships with various carriers and wholesalers with which Hub International Northeast currently or intends to do business, particularly in complex casualty.  Candidate should also be willing and prepared to assist with client facing meetings where required. 

The FVP will be involved, at the direction of the Chief Marketing Officer, in the training and development of employees within the Marketing Department. 

Skills and Abilities:

Candidate will be well versed in sales, marketing training and developmentAbility to analyze loss data to develop loss picks, development factors, and create Total Cost of Risk (TCOR) exhibits across all casualty lines.      Excellent verbal and written communicationsBachelors degree preferred plus 5-10 years of relevant experience Experience with an active CRM system is a plusWorking with Microsoft Office products is a daily occurrence and strong knowledge in these applications is requiredCandidate should also be prepared to learn various industry applications including but not limited to running AIR Modeling, MVRs, and Loss Picks.  Candidate will have a working knowledge of Property, General Liability, Automobile, Worker’s Compensation and Umbrella coverages.Any working knowledge of shared and layered placements and the London/Bermuda marketplace is a desired value add                    

The expected pay range for this position is $170,000 annually to $270,000 annually and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and work location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
