Required Related Experience n/a Required License/Registration/Certification n/a Physical Requirements Lifting, pushing and pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Shift Summer Orientation: June 2 – July 11, 2025. Orientation leaders will be full time, and in-person, on campus, Monday – Friday during these weeks in June and July (on-campus housing provided). Most worked hours will be between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Students are also expected to participate in biweekly evening trainings in early Spring 2025 and are expected to work a minimum number of hours to support the March 2025 Orientation programs. Additional part-time work in August/September 2025 and January/March/April 2026 will be assigned based on availability. More details at orientation.uky.edu. Job Summary First-Year Experience Ambassadors play a critical role in shaping a student’s first-year experience at UK. First-Year Experience Ambassadors assist in facilitating the Big Blue Nation Orientations, Merit Days, and Kentucky Science Olympiad. FYE Ambassadors lead new student groups, assist with the check-in and registration processes, assist new students with schedule-making and acclimation to campus life, and many other orientation processes. FYE Ambassadors, as cross-trained student workers with a deep knowledge of campus resources, may be offered additional opportunities during the academic year, by their supervisor, to assist areas within Undergraduate Admission or the Office for Student Success.
