We believe the professional and clinical environments are enhanced when diverse groups of people with diverse ideas come together._ Join our Venice Family Clinic's accounting and finance department team as a Fiscal Specialist EHS. In this role you will be responsible for organizing and implementing fiscal objectives in coordination with our Early Head Start's strategic and operational objectives. This position handles complex transactions and is responsible for monthly billings, grant related budget analysis, audits and/or site visits, Governance Reports (Venice Family Clinic Board and Policy Council), and Federal reports. _Salary range: $68,800.00 - $141,000.00 Annual_ _Senate Bill 525 was signed into law by Governor Newsom in October 2023. Starting June 1, 2024, SB525 sets a new $23 minimum wage for nonexempt healthcare workers and raises the exempt employee salary threshold to $1,380/week (equivalent to $5,980/month or $71,760/year)._ 1. _As defined under SB525, healthcare workers are defined as employees who are involved in the provision of 'health care services,' which means 'patient care-related services including nursing; caregiving; services provided by medical residents, interns, or fellows; technical and ancillary services; janitorial work; housekeeping; grounds keeping; guard duties; business office clerical work; food services; laundry; medical coding and billing; call center and warehouse work; scheduling; and gift shop work; but only where such services support patient care'._ 2. _Employees (career, contract, student, per diem) in the UCLA Health medical facilities (e.g. Ronald Reagan Medical Center, Santa Monica UCLA Hospital, Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, etc.) meet these criteria._ Qualifications Required: + Knowledge in OMB's Uniform Guidance, 2 CFR Part 200, and SF-425 and SF-429 reports. + Knowledge in Accounting, Non-Profit Accounting, and Non-Federal Share. + Skilled in detailed and accurate reports related to Head Start. + Proficient with MS Excel, Access, 10 key, fund accounting software and Grants Solutions. + Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing work. + Ability to communicate effectively with Federal offices and State departments. The above knowledge, skills and abilities are usually acquired through a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Fiscal Management, or a related field; certified public accountant. Two to five years' experience in accounting in Head Start.
