Job Responsibilities:
Greets members and guests with a pleasant attitude and is welcoming to team and membership. Informs membership of and promotes all events sponsored by the Wellness department. Responds to members and or guests’ questions and concerns professionally, promptly, and courteously. Opens and closes the facility when necessary. Cleans and details all fitness equipment in studios and on fitness floor. Organizes fitness equipment routinely throughout shift. Sanitizes small equipment and mats after member use. Inspects equipment daily to ensure there are no malfunctions or imperfections. Maintains a positive and cheerful attitude with employees, members, and guests. Instruct members on proper equipment usage. Keeps amenities on fitness floor stocked including water cups, gym wipes, towels, etc. Reports any equipment issues to leadership in timely manner. Maintains equipment logs and stays up to date on repair statuses. Keeps membership informed on repair statuses. Enforces member rules and policies in a positive and courteous manner. Responds to member emergencies according to emergency training and reports incidents to leadership in timely manner. Attends departmental meetings and trainings. Issues facility equipment to members as needed (ex. reading trays, headphones, etc.) Completes daily checklists according to W.E.L.L. standards. Complies with departmental uniform and grooming standards. Works effectively as a team with all departmental employees. Works variety of shifts, as needed to include nights, weekends and or holidays. Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures. Performs all other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Current CPR, AED, First Aid certification or be able to complete within 30 days of employment. Ability to read, understand and follow verbal/written instructions. Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations. Highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks and to deploy resources effectively. Must have the willingness to provide exceptional service to members and desire to provide leadership to position the department to achieve the mission.Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for 50% of workday. Bending and stooping 80% of workday. Stands and walks for 95% of workday.
