**Overview**
The fitness coach is responsible for educating clients and enforcing policies regarding safe and proper use of equipment. Individuals holding this position must be able to work independently and as part of a team to develop, document, and implement one-on-one, partner, or group workout programs that match the needs and goals of clients. This position may also be responsible for providing group exercise fitness instruction for multiple fitness levels ensuring safety of all patrons in the class.

**Responsibilities**
Role & Responsibilities
Provide exceptional services as a personal trainer by creating an outstanding personal training experience for new and existing clients
Guide and educate members and clients on comprehensive fitness programs as well as studio classes
Motivate and inspire clients to get results by setting goals, creating customized workout plans and tracking progress
Prepare and deliver comprehensive fitness programs based on clients' goals that include appropriate exercise selection and teaching a fitness lifestyle.
Create positive relationships with class participants by teaching a variety of challenging and entertaining group fitness classes and provide exercise modifications or alternatives as needed.
Professional growth: attends departmental and hospital education programs as instructed; maintains proper BLS/CPR certification, Water Safety Training and other continuing education required for current certifications.
Requirements:
Understand the principles of physical fitness and proper exercise technique
Able to coach, motivate and inspire members at every stage of their fitness journey
Provide exceptional customer service and build a loyal client base
Utilize the gym software system to maintain client information, session appointments, scheduling and payments.
Able to provide a flexible schedule to accommodate client appointments
**Qualifications**
**Required Education and Experience**
+ Education: High School Diploma
+ Experience: At least 6 months experience working in a health club, gym or other related activity.
**Required Licensure and Certifications**
+ American Heart Association Basic Life Support Card
+ Current Accredited Personal Training or Group Fitness Certification
**Pay Range**
$14.08 - $19.36 /hour
