Our client, a progressive miscellaneous metal and structural steel fabricator specializing in the high-rise residential market, is seeking an experienced Fitter/Fabricator to join their dynamic team in Brampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a versatile individual with a strong structural steel fabrication background and a proactive, can-do attitude. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly of structural steel, steel stairs, and various miscellaneous metal structures.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shift: 8-hour day shift, Monday to Friday
Schedule: Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble structural steel, steel stairs, and miscellaneous metal structures according to project specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication. Operate a variety of machinery and tools, including band saws, shears, ironworkers, drill presses, and hand tools. Fit and fabricate beams, columns, canopies, and other metal structures. Ensure quality control throughout the fabrication process. Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with company safety protocols. Work independently with minimal supervision, while collaborating with the team to meet project deadlines. Perform physical tasks such as handling materials up to 23 kg (50 lbs.) and standing for extended periods.Key Competencies:
Strong background in structural steel fabrication (7+ years preferred). Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong focus on safety and quality control. Fluent in English (verbal and written). Reliable, honest, and committed to teamwork.Requirements

Minimum of 4 years of experience in metal fabrication. Proficient in using a variety of fabrication tools and equipment. Physically fit and capable of handling materials up to 50 lbs. Reliable transportation or the ability to commute to Brampton, ON (required). Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
