**Job Title: Welder/Fitter/Fabricator** **Job Description** The Fitter/Fabricator will be responsible for fitting and fabricating custom projects such as tanks, platforms, stairs, etc. They will be required to read and build off of blueprints. This custom fabrication work will primarily be steel and stainless steel. MIG welding will be required for most projects. They will need to be able to use fabrication equipment such as a torch, plasma, band saw, or drill/tap. **Responsibilities** + Fit and fabricate custom projects such as tanks, platforms, and stairs + Read and build off of blueprints + Perform MIG welding on steel and stainless steel + Use fabrication equipment such as a torch, plasma, band saw, or drill/tap **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of fabricating experience with steel and stainless steel + Ability to read and build off of blueprints + Proficiency in all position MIG welding + Experience with assembly, welding, TIG welding, and inspection + AWS certification **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with structure fabrication **Why Work Here?** Join a small family-owned fabrication shop that offers medical benefits, 401K matching, and vacation time once direct. **Work Environment** Work in a warehouse-type building with a small team. The shift is 1st shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm, with occasional overtime up to 50 hours per week. Steel toe shoes are required. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milford, Michigan **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
