Come and join this dedicated team as our Fitter SF. This role of Fitter is to maintain, install and commission engineering components of the machinery and equipment to an agreed standard in the area of responsibility.

Job Description

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Achievement of safe production performance levels through the effective maintenance of equipment

Attend and conduct Safety meetingConducts and participate in Risk assessmentsAllocate tasks to subordinatesAttend to Breakdowns and emergencies as requiredEnsure that material, spares and equipment are available as requiredEnsure proper and adequate on the job training and coaching is provided to subordinatesComply to environmental requirementsExercise judgment with regards to replacement of componentsMaintains a high quality of workTimely and accurate informationRecords results of all legal examinations in the appropriate formatWorks in a sequence that prioritizes work requirementsCompleting job cards and description of work and spares used (PM’s)Performing work to the required standards and specificationsApplying appropriate tools to complete tasks

This role is at GBF 8 level reporting to the Senior Foreman Mechanical

QualificationsGrade 10 or Technical Trade Specific N2Certified Competent as Fitter  - Section 26D

English literate (speak, read and write)Must be able to do standby and overtimeMust be familiar with risk assessments proceduresValid driving license code 08Basic Computer Skills

Additional requirements will include:

Must be able to do standby, overtime and , if required, shift work.Will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Test
