To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com (https://www.cibc.com/en/about-cibc.html) **What you'll be doing** The Enterprise Anti-Money Laundering (EAML) group is responsible for all aspects of CIBC's Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing regime, this includes development of policies and procedures, training, and reviewing the activities of CIBC's business and infrastructure groups. EAML also performs investigative activities, including the receipt and analysis of information that may indicate money laundering, terrorist financing or sanctions violation, or other high-risk activities. The FIU Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for conducting quality checks on investigative files as it relates to accuracy, decision-making, internal process and procedures, as per EAML Policies and Procedures, and per regulatory requirements. The FIU Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for documenting observations to identify and communicate successes, as well as gaps, trends and areas of opportunity for sustainability or improvement. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role._ _Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview._ **How you'll succeed** + **Quality assurance -** Carries out the quality control and assessment reviews of investigative files. Provides feedback and recommendations on the investigative processes based on trends found through quality control reviews. + **Technical knowledge** **-** An analytical/systematic thinker with advanced technical skills (understanding of modern IT architecture, databases and data warehousing) including an understanding of the elements of project management that can translate business requirements to technical specifications for technology to implement. + **Written skills** - Strong written communication skills sufficient to document file conclusions and write reports to summarize activity noted in an account and prepare analytical reports of cases of unusual transactions or activities that should be reported to the appropriate money laundering and/or terrorist financing reporting center. **Who you are** + **You have strong knowledge of** AML regulations, practices and economic sanctions, which may be enhanced via accreditation by ACAMS. **It's an asset** if you can demonstrate experience related to Correspondent Banking and/or Capital Markets Investigations within AML. + **You have a degree/diploma in** Business, Accounting, Finance, Law or related field and/or equivalent years of experience. + **You embrace and champion change.** You'll continuously evolve your thinking and the way you work in order to deliver your best. + **You're driven by collective success.** You know that collaboration can transform a good idea into a great one.
