Fixed Assets Accountant
Description We are inviting applications for the role of Fixed Assets Accountant, based in Dallas, Texas. This role is part of the finance team, with a focus on fixed assets and construction accounting within the oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be deeply involved in both daily tasks and long-term fiscal planning. Responsibilities: • Conduct procedures and upkeep records for all company assets following federal policies • Oversee construction in process accounts, including the management of fixed assets • Compile necessary documentation for yearly audits • Record acquisitions and dispositions of fixed assets in our accounting system • Perform depreciation calculations for all fixed assets and conduct periodic impairment reviews • Collaborate cross-functionally regarding fixed assets • Ensure all paperwork relating to fixed assets and construction in process is processed and filed correctly • Participate in inventory verification of company assets and reconcile records • Contribute to the assembly of financial reports for management and regulators • Assist in various projects as required by the management team. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role as a Fixed Assets Accountant • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience with Bank Reconciliations • Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries • Knowledge in Month End Close procedures • Proficiency in using financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP • Experience with WIP - Work In Progress accounting • Expertise in Fixed Asset Accounting, including Fixed Asset Depreciation, Fixed Asset Inventory, and Fixed Asset Management • Proven ability to maintain Fixed Asset and use of Fixed Asset System • Experience in Construction Accounting and understanding of the Construction industry is a plus • Familiarity with General Ledger System • Expertise in Account Reconciliation, including Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation, Bank Account Reconciliation, Cash Reconciliations, Credit Card Reconciliation, Inventory Reconciliation, Daily Reconciliation, Monthly Account Reconciliation, and Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation • Experience in Ledger Reconciliations and Ledger Account Reconciliation • Familiarity with Monthly Bank Reconciliation and other Reconciliations Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
