Fixed Assets Accounting Manager (Hybrid Schedule)
**Job Description** The Fixed Assets Manager performs a variety of routine and non-routine accounting functions with significant responsibility for the accounting of fixed assets, client contract investments, and leases as well as for review of all related general ledger accounts. The Fixed Assets Manager leads a group of three direct reports and a total staff of approximately 12-15 accountants who perform fixed assets and lease accounting and provide guidance to the field related to capitalization policies and procedures. The Fixed Assets Manager oversees and reviews the completion of monthly financial reports related to fixed assets and ensures that fixed assets transactions and capital projects are appropriately accounted for in accordance with contract terms and GAAP. The Fixed Assets Manager performs ad-hoc research and analysis and solves for accounting and contractual issues as necessary. **Job Responsibilities** Lead, direct, and review the work of the fixed assets accounting staff; provide training to team members; keep team members informed of current issues; set team goals and objectives; and prepare and deliver performance reviews. ? Oversee the monthly close of the fixed assets sub-ledgers for the US and Canada. ? Lead the fixed assets team through the monthly financial close. Oversee preparation of general ledger entries and reconciliations related to fixed assets and lease accounting. ? Ensure proper accounting for capital expenditures, projects, and client contract investments in accordance with company policy, contractual terms, and GAAP. ? Ensure rent expense is classified and recorded correctly to support internal and external reporting. ? Ensure monthly reporting deadlines are met and all accounting and reporting activities are performed in accordance with policies and procedures and in accordance with SOX guidelines. ? Ensure general ledger accounts related to fixed assets and leases are reviewed, analyzed, and/or reconciled as appropriate, ensuring balances are supported by proper backup / schedules. Perform analytical review to test for reasonableness and provide comments on fluctuations and responses to questions. ? Ensure all fixed assets and lease accounting related SOX controls are executed timely and accurately. ? Drive improvements in the process to collect contracts that may affect lease accounting. ? Review updates made to the lease system for new lease contracts, amendments to existing contracts, and contract terminations. ? Assist with the integration of the lease system into the general ledger. ? Proactively drive improvements to fixed assets and lease accounting processes and systems. ? Bachelor?s degree in accounting or finance required ? 3 -5 years of experience in accounting and/or finance required ? 2-5 years of leadership experience required. Fixed assets and/or lease accounting experience preferred, but not required. ? Strong analytical and technical accounting skills. ? Strong Excel skills are required. ? Experience with and knowledge of ERP accounting software and all Microsoft Office applications. Oracle experience preferred. ? Ability to develop relationships with diverse groups and various levels of financial and operating personnel. Ability to develop remote relationships. ? Experience managing field accounting activities in a centralized environment preferred. ? Ability to work under limited supervision in resolving more complex issues. ? Flexibility, creative thinking, good business judgment, and strong organizational and communication skills are all required to meet strict deadlines and manage other projects. ? Must be a strong team player and leader, highly motivated, and able to work under pressure during peak periods. ? Ability to perform complex or technical accounting tasks and functions. ? Ability to communicate well with internal and external parties, including HQ personnel, regional field personnel, other GBS personnel, and vendors. **Benefits** ? Flexible work arrangements ?
