About this opportunity:

The successful candidate for the Fixed Equipment Engineer role will have a broad experience of Downstream facilities such as used by Cenovus’ petroleum refining, tankage, rail and truck loading facilities. This position will be responsible for product selection, design implementation, troubleshooting and operational experience covering a broad range of products from a variety of the major manufacturers. The role will primarily focus on operating assets, however, will provide additional guidance as required to small capital projects.

What you’ll do:

Provides field operations support as needed

Supports reliability engineer with root cause analysis for static equipment failures meeting the defined thresholds

Governs and administers the following condition monitoring programs:

Infrared Program

SME for design reviews / FMEA for static equipment

Leads mechanical integrity evaluation including fitness for service assessments

Develop repair and alternation packages

Lead of bolted joint management program

Maintains IOW limit table data Support of mechanical integrity program (ex. corrosion and risk based integrity management program)

Support reviews/qualifies repair vendor shops on QA/QC and performance standards Provides input to the formal maintenance training program

Support PHA / HAZOP / MOC

Who you are:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

5 - 8 years of engineering experience in an operating refinery or chemical plant with similar responsibilities and deliverables

Broad and detailed knowledge of industry standards, reliability best practices
