Fixed Products Line Actuary, IFRS Valuation

**Position Summary:**
Join Manulife, a leading international financial services provider, as we work towards a future where decisions are easier and lives are better. As the Fixed Products Line Actuary within the IFRS Valuation team, you will be responsible for the valuation, earnings analysis, and reporting activities for US fixed annuity products. This role offers the opportunity to present to management and collaborate with experienced actuarial, data system and accounting professionals. You will also lead a small team of student actuaries, providing coaching and development opportunities in a dynamic business and financial reporting environment.
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Produce quarterly IFRS reserves and analysis on fixed annuity products, including Driver of Earnings, contributing to a robust RMA/DOE framework.
+ Lead valuation solutions and provide expertise to support the development of new annuity products and implementation of valuation bases.
+ Enhance IFRS17 valuation and reporting tools, methodologies, and processes, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and actuarial standards.
+ Conduct valuation reviews and control assumptions and methodology as part of the tri-annual and off-cycle basis change process.
+ Lead LICAT cash-flow review and reporting.
+ Perform routine and ad-hoc valuation deliverables for Group Functions and other stakeholders (e.g., Appointed Actuary’s Report, Reserve sensitivities, inforce optimization projects).
+ Lead and mentor student actuaries, providing coaching and development opportunities.
+ Develop strong relationships with various departments and stakeholders.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ FSA / FCIA designation with 5+ years of progressive work experience.
+ In-depth knowledge of IFRS17 actuarial principles.
+ Prior valuation exposure and/or familiarity with US Fixed Products are assets.

**Salary range is expected to be between**
$120,750.00 USD - $217,350.00 USD
