Job Description:

Location: Kennebunk, Maine

We are seeking a Fixturing Technician/ Manufacturing Associate to join our client’s team in Kennebunk, ME. This role involves designing, assembling, and maintaining custom fixtures to support machining, inspection, and assembly processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience in fixture design, and a keen eye for precision and quality.

Responsibilities:

– Collaborate with engineers and machinists to develop optimal fixture solutions for complex components.
– Maintain and troubleshoot existing fixtures to ensure efficient operation and accuracy.
– Ensure fixtures meet tight tolerances and quality standards required for gun and medical components.
– Work with various materials, including aluminum, steel, and composite materials, to create durable and precise fixtures.
– Conduct testing and validation of fixtures to ensure stability and repeatability.
– Maintain documentation and records of fixture designs, modifications, and performance.
– Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Desired Background/Skills:

– Previous experience in fixturing, machining, or tooling setup in a manufacturing environment.
– Ability to work with hand tools, measuring instruments, and precision machining equipment.
– Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot fixture-related issues.
– Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
