Flat Glass Estimator and Installation Coordinator
Speedy Glass is looking for a Flat Glass Estimator and Installation Coordinator for our Salem store

 

The primary focus of the Flat Glass Estimator and Installation Coordinator is to evaluate residential and select commercial project specifications, order material, coordinate project installations and act as the primary point-of-contact with suppliers and customers. The Flat Glass Estimator and Installation Coordinator manages communication and contact with customers and suppliers, and works closely with the CSR, installation team and Branch Manager to ensure a high standard of internal communication and customer satisfaction.

Under the direction of the Branch Manager the Flat Glass Estimator and Installation Coordinator shall be responsible for measurements and the development and presentation of estimates, providing product and service information, ordering of products, coordination of installations with clients and installers, and addressing any product and service issues and inquiries that may emerge. They shall promote and contribute to the team effort by driving results and will possess the skills and qualifications to perform all jobs as required.

Job Summary: The Flat Glass Estimator and Installation Coordinator will be responsible for assessing project requirements, determining material and labor costs, and providing accurate estimates for the installation and repair of flat glass in residential and commercial settings.  The ideal candidate will have experience in flat glass installation, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

 Job Duties.

Assess project requirements and determine the scope of work for flat glass installation and repair projects. Consult with customers to understand project specifications and provide accurate estimates for labor, materials, and equipment costs in a timely manner. Analyze blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to determine the most efficient and cost-effective installation methods. Source and price glass, hardware, and other materials required for each project. Create detailed project quotes and proposals, including timelines and budgets and invoice and receive payment for all services provided. Maintain accurate filing system for quotes, work orders and specialty order products. Collaborate with perspective clients, project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project completion. Schedule and assign work orders to the appropriate team members. Review project costs and timelines and make recommendations for process improvements to increase efficiency and profitability. Maintain accurate project records and documentation, including change orders and purchase orders. Maintain expected appearance for face-to-face interactions with customers. Approve cad drawings and order list for all supply and special-order products. Order, Check In, and Inventory all supplies and freight for all services provided; ensuring all product is clean and undamaged. Be efficient in all duties required by flat glass team members to provide support and/or backup for team members during installation of products and/or services for customers, including but not limited to unscheduled deliveries, installations, and setting glass as needed. Monitor installations and liaison between installers and clients to ensure expectations are met in a timely and cost-effective manner and to ensure it complies with all safety policies and procedures. Install shower doors, cut glass, and complete other jobs pertaining to glass Communicate efficiencies of installation with Branch Manager All other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.

 

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in construction, engineering, or related field is a plus. 3-5 years of experience in flat glass installation, fabrication, or related field. Excellent driving record as well as a valid driver's license Strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications. Familiarity with construction codes, regulations, and safety standards. Proficiency in computer software and estimating tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to keep confidential any information pertaining to customers and competitors.
