Fleet Dealership Interface Engineer

Description

Support OEM Service Engineers and Dealer Technician for problematic customer field concerns to establish an effective service resolution.Works in a new group \" to support Dealership and fleet groupCommunicates between engineering/dealership/fleet teams and provide guidance in repair and get to right repair or issue resolution and determine root cause and corrective actionsProvide initial assessment of escalated service tickets requiring engineering repair plan feedback based on knowledge of issues and available data to determine root cause within 48-hour window. This will require the ability to understand the subsystems involved and any interactions between involved components. Work with dealer service technicians, field service engineers, design & release engineers and subsystem engineers to determine root cause of the repairs in question and determine root cause and corrective actions that allow the customers vehicles to be returned.Work on-site at Ford facilities with travel required as needed to Ford dealership Ability to design, execute or coordinate analytical and physical testing from component bench level to full powertrain/vehicle testing to identify root cause, replicate quality issues and validate fixes.

Skills & Qualifications:

Demonstrated automotive experience with detail-oriented focus in Powertrain engineering, warranty and manufacturingExperience working with warranty issues, failure model analysisWorked in resolving customer concerns in a timely manner.Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for presentations and project tracking activities

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $44.50/hr.
